We will verify all repairs are made and working to your satisfaction before we leave the premises. In the event a problem surfaces after the work is completed, our warranty covers materials & parts (purchased through Capote Electrical Services) and our labor for up to 1 year from original service date.
You have the assurance that they have completed the required supervised hours under a licensed Master electrician based on their specific license (8,000 hours for Journeyman, 12,000 hours for Master electrician), passed a criminal background check, and then passed a state licensing exam. They also will be knowledgeable regarding the National Electrical Code (NEC), and are required to complete continuing education courses each year in order to renew their license. You also want to ensure they work for a licensed electrical contractor, because this also protects you as a customer.
You should verify your electrician’s license on the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation website at TDLR Active License Search (texas.gov)
Greg's Master License is #407547, and Texas Electrical Contractor License is # 32981
While it is true that many handymen can handle some basic electrical needs in a home, there are many, many situations where I have been called after a home owner had a handyman or unlicensed “electrician” do some work and the problem was not really fixed, and in some cases, the problem was worse and was creating a fire hazard. Better to call a pro to begin with.
Every situation is different and while some things can be diagnosed over the phone, it is usually better for you to have an experienced electrician personally investigate your situation to ensure critical details are not missed resulting in an inaccurate estimate.
In order to keep our prices fair and reasonable, we do charge a $50 trip charge, that is credited back against your repair.
